Middle School Youth Forum!
Sunday is a time for the whole family at St. Andrew’s, and so while younger siblings are in Sunday School, mom and dad are grabbing a cup of coffee and enjoying fellowship or our adult forum, and older siblings are in High School Youth Forum, we invite Middle School students to participate in a youth experience just for them! They will meet in the Fireside Room from 9:20-10:15am to talk about their daily lives, share high and low points from their past week, pray together, and most importantly, take part in a Bible study designed to help them connect the Bible, Lutheran teachings, and their faith to their daily lives.
Each study uses a YouTube clip, it may be a new’s story, a popular music video, a clip from a movie, or another kind of clip… but it is something that youth relate to. Then they talk about the themes in that video… and how they relate to them…this includes topics like self esteem, peer pressure, drugs, sportsmanship, making priorities, and managing time and stress.  Next a Bible Verse is read, youth are encouraged to look at how the Bible Verse relates to the theme they are talking about and challenged to connect that verse to their daily lives. This is a great way for youth to grow deeper in their faith!

Middle School Youth Group
A recent survey of families in our congregation told us that youth ministry would be more accessible to more people if it were held on a Sunday Afternoon. In response to that survey, we are shifting our Middle School Youth Group to Sundays from 12:00-2:00pm. Middle Schoolers are invited to attend youth activities each week! These activities will start by sharing a meal with our high school youth group, and then middle schoolers will break off for different activities. This will include everything from service projects, to games like broom ball and basketball, to crafts, special events, and more!
Our time will end in the sanctuary with prayer and a short devotional. Friends are always welcome!
We will need LOTS of help to make this ministry possible! Please consider signing up to help cook meals or lead activities. There will be a sign up sheet in the fellowship hall on the youth board, and you can also volunteer by contacting Pastor Megan!
