Wanting to serve a real need in the community and congregation, St. Andrew’s began operating a preschool in 1998, and has had a Preschool ever since then.  Special attention is given to teaching Christian values, although all people are welcome.  Stories, songs apreschool1nd other activities focus on love, caring, sharing, respect, trust, self-esteem and helping others.
Daily activities include creative art, music, stories, and dramatic play, together with an emphasis of developing both fine and large motor skills.  Additional activities might include special guests, science experiences, field trips, puppets, service projects, cooking and Christian celebrations.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Group
This group is for children who are 4 years old by September 1 of the enrollment year and will be eligible for Kindergarten the following year.  Special attention is given to Kindergarten readiness skills.  Lead teacher is Kelly Olsen.  Maximum group size is 16 children.

Tuesday/Thursday Group
This group is for children who are 3 years old by September 1 of the enrollment year and are toilet trained.  Special attention is given to working on social skills.  Lead teacher is Manda Tuttle.  Maximum group size is 16 children.

St. Andrew’s Preschool is looking for a Lead Teacher for the 4-year-old class beginning September 2018. This is a Monday-Wednesday- Friday 8:00 am – noon position, plus 2 hours prep time for each of those days. Kelly Olsen, long -time teacher of the 4-year-old class, will become the Assistant Teacher for both the 4-year-old class as well as the 3-year-old class.
